Hi buddy!

First off, welcome to the club :D

For this conversion you can fit many engines to the 97 Colt:

*Evo 4-9 engines (I think 10 will aswell, but hasnt yet been done yet :( )

*FTO engines (All, although the 2.0 V6 Mivec is recommended as it is 200bhp)

Anyway, for the Evo Conversion you will need:

*Engine (Obviously)
*Engine loom
*EVO Fuel Pump
*Suitable Gearbox (Atleast a Cyborg Box with LSD, or FTO box but they are the same anyway. Or you could use the Evo box and lock up the rear shaft so that it is FWD only. Unless of course you are going 4wd?)

There will be much more to add than that though. Possibly stuff like Driveshafts etc

I would definatly be planning on a Brake upgrade also!

The Colt you have is a CJ there is also a CL available in Japan which is a 1.5 DOHC with 4wd :D. Maybe thats the plan to aim for ;)

you will need a gearbox, and you cannot use v6 box with 4g63 engine, I mean you can but it is not practical, since that is not bolt on job, however all mitsu gearboxes for 4 cyl engines use the same bell, therefore in theory you can use any gbox from 4 cyl mitsu engine with other 4 cyl mitsu engine, therefore you can use your own gbox with evo engine but it will last you, well not long before gears turn into mincedmetal.
IMHO it is best to use evo gbox with disabled rear drive for your purposes, cheapest, hassle free (relatively).
If you are building track weapon use evo engine, fto mivec v6 is a decent engine, but very difficult (and expensive) to turn into big powers, as opposed to evo engines, and power, mate, is addictive.

Hi witcher, why dont you get your self into the Newbies area :D.

As for the V6 box onto the 4cylinder engines, it think that is easy. Its putting a 4cylinder on to a v6 that is the problem, the V6 engines have the starter motor on the front, whereas the 4 cylinders are genrally on the back of the engine. So theoretically the V6 boxes will fit the 4 cylinder fine. Some 4 cylinder boxes like The Cyborg and Carisma GDI has the F5M42 and will fit the V6's as it has the starter slot on the front.
